The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption with the collaboration of the United Nations Development Programme conducted a One-day TOT workshop under the JURE Project on 26th August 2023 at Hotel Renuka, Kollupitiya for officers of the CIABOC.

First session of the workshop was handled by Mr. Jagath Liyanarachchi, Attorney-at-law and gave an understanding of the provisions available to ensure the integrity of a public servant, National Action Plan, Integrity Handbook, Handbook on Gift Rules and Handbook on Conflict of Interests.

In the second session Mr. Tharindu Weerasinghe, Senior Lecturer, University of Kelaniya conducted a lecture on positive attitudes towards eliminating corruption, sensitizing the value of integrity, developing the dignity of civil servants and building the mental strength and confidence that a trainer/ officer should possess.

In the final session Mr. Jayananda Jayasooriya, Senior Advisor (SLIDA) conducted a lecture on creating the physical/mental readiness necessary for a trainer/presenter and problems encountered during a presentation.

The sessions immensely contributed to improve the knowledge and enhance the capacity of officers of the CIABOC.
