The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) conducts the programme, “Let’s endow a corruption-free generation” to establish “Integrity Clubs”. A programme under this was held on 22nd July 2023 at Hotel Aradhana, Galle for students of Janadhipathi Balika Vidyalaya, Galle and around 250 students attended it. Students of Vidyaloka Vidyalaya and All Saints College, Galle who have already established Integrity Clubs also shared their experience here. Students of St. Aloysius College, Thiranagama Bodiraja Vidyalaya, Anuladevi Vidyalaya, and Sacred Heart Convent, Galle were also present. Students were given knowhow on the National Action Plan for Combatting Bribery and Corruption, promoting integrity and its practical applications. Establishment of Integrity Clubs also took place here. A musical session was held during night time around a bonfire and was aimed at strengthening the integrity in students by improving their taste for music and also to inculcate concepts of integrity. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Sunethra Jayasinghe, Deputy Director General, CIABOC and the resource contribution was provided by Mrs. Dushmanthi Rajapaksha - Assistant Director General and Prevention Officers, Mrs. Udeshika Jayasekara, Miss. Vimukthi Jayasooriya, Miss. Rushanthi Dilshani and Mr. Shammi Srilal. Information and communication technology support for the programme was provided by Investigation Officers, Mr. Pradeeep Amarajeewa and Mr. Theekshana Wickramasingha.
