The Hon. High Court Judge, accepting the preliminary objection raised by the defendant party, ordered on 29th March 2023 to release the accused. The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption filed a revision application with the Court of Appeal on 20th September 2023 against the decision of the Hon. High Court Judge.

After considering the said application, the Court of Appeal has ordered to issue notice to the respondents. The indictment was served against the accused for unlawfully making a favour to TPL Inter (Pvt) Ltd by offering them the tender for the procurement of ground operation equipment. The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption further stated that the loss caused to the government by the said favour was approximately Rs. 88 million.
