On the invitation of the University of Sri Jayawardenepura, another Awareness Programme of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption conducted for school children to endow a generation devoid of bribery and corruption was jointly organized at the Katagasdigiliya Kone Wewa Siddhartha Vidyalaya, Anuradhapura on 10 October 2024. The event took place in the school’s main hall.
The University has selected this school for its projects, and the programme was attended by four university lecturers, undergraduates, the School Principal, teachers and 150 students.
The workshop was creatively designed to allow the students to grasp the concept of integrity, its practical application, and the legal situation for bribery and corruption. It also aimed to enhance the integrity of students and inculcate relevant concepts through showcasing their skills and talents
Prevention Officers of the Commission, Mr. Sampath Arachchige, Mrs. Rushanthi Dilshani and Mrs. Madhuka Ruwanthi, provided the resource contribution for the programme, and Mr. Mazeer, OEA, provided other assistance.
