President Ranil Wickremesinghe appointed the new members to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption on 21st December 2023.

Accordingly, Mr. W. M. N. P. Iddawala, former Judge of the Court of Appeal and Deputy Secretary General of Parliament, assumed duties as the new Chairman. Mr. Bernard Rajapakse, former Senior Deputy General Manager of People’s Bank, and Mr. Chethiya Goonesekera, President’s Counsel and Additional Solicitor General of the Attorney General’s Department, assumed duties as other members of the Commission. The new members assumed duties on 01st January 2024.
